Memoir sepetang di INTEC…(1)
It was a bright evening
and a
perfect day to play. I was just finished doing asar player and from my
room I can see a bunch of players throwing a disk to each other. Acap,
among the
member of anti-Frisbee club, told me it was a Frisbee game. He also
described the game by telling that in order for you to
get a score you have to bring the disk to the opponent line and touch
it to the
ground. He added that you are not allowed to hold the disk while
running.
Instead, you have to move the disk by passing it to another teammate.
Soon, Tom came and together with
Acap will resume their duty as the commentators for that evening’s game. By
this time I already had gone from the room as I don’t want to ‘disturb’ them
while they were ‘on air’.
After that, I went upstairs to
see how the other guys are doing. As I expected, the members of room 306 and 308
were having their pillows under their heads. Some were dreaming while the other wers
texting. Sometimes, ‘extra’ members will come and treat themselves inside the
rooms. Usually, I come to these rooms looking for today’s newspapers. I also wonder
whether room 308 is a place where ‘jin bertendang’ because this place will always
be filled with white smoke whenever I come in.
As I flipped to the last page of
the newspaper I heard noise of a ball bumping on the ground. Following the
noise is Karim’s voice, shouting extremely loud that almost everyone on earth
could hear it, calling for a football game. This is the moment that we’ve been waiting
for every evening and one of karim’s greatest contributions to us. Without
wasting any moment everyone will start pulling their socks and putting their boot
in as a gesture of heeding Karim’s warcry. In minutes, an army of ALM 6 boys
will march to the court to resume their daily battle of honour…
To be continued…
